A Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist with 30 years of experience, Rodolfo Gonzalez, an independent commercial photographer, prefers to work with the Leica M system rangfinder, specializing in documentary, portraits, travel, food, fashion, and sports photography.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Rodolfo studied journalism, photography and mass communication at San Antonio College. He was a member of the Rocky Mountain News photography staff that was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the Columbine High School shooting in 1999. He has also won a National Headliner Award, a Texas Headliner Award, the Barbara Jordan Media Award and numerous Texas Associated Press Managing Editors awards. From 2000-2016, Rodolfo was on staff at the Austin American-Statesman in Austin, Texas, where he continues to resides.
Gonzalez, a lecturer at Texs State University's School of Journalism & Mass Communication, teaches Intro to Photojournalism.
