While I don't consider myself knowledgeable enough to be a true foodie, I do have an enormous appreciation for the expertise and creativity that goes into producing great food. It began when I was a child and my 12-year-old sister, Mari, would make "pizza" for me from white bread, ketchup and American cheese, all baked to perfection in the oven. As she slid the plate toward my eager hands, she would share the essential ingredient that she includes in her wonderful cooking to this day: "made with love."
